The run
Two worlds. One boss.
World 1 · Stage 1 · The vision
Elevate the tech to support a fast-growing direct sales network
Growing interest among prospective independent distributors in USDA-certified, hemp-derived compounds meant the tech stack at Green Compass had to meet that demand. The platform needed to support every Advocate selling and marketing across the country.

World 1 · Stage 2 · Boss · The challenge
CTO abandonment and the wrong external dev team
With its annual distributor conference less than two months away, the husband-and-wife CTO team at Green Compass quit. Abruptly.
A fully functioning, order-taking e-commerce website was not ready to launch at that event, despite an existing engagement with an outsourced development team. Into this environment, enter RedSky Engineering.
World 2
How RedSky delivered
Prep for launch, then provide ongoing outsourced I.T. services as the Advocate network scaled.
World 2 · Stage 1
Architect
The immediate need was making sure Green Compass’ Exigo-based e-commerce MLM platform was fully functioning in time for the annual distributor conference, less than two months out. Every Advocate had to be able to test drive the updated platform live, whether on-site at the conference or anywhere else in the country. RedSky delivered.
World 2 · Stage 2
Build
Since then, RedSky Engineering has provided a wide range of ongoing I.T. services, including an outsourced team to drive and oversee platform maintenance. RedSky also delivered on marketing team requests for new backend software integrations, plus public- and Advocate-facing initiatives that had to be defined, designed, written, and integrated into the platform.
World 2 · Stage 3
Deliver
That work included tying the Green Compass e-commerce site to multiple third-party applications, among them its commission tracking and calculation systems. The relationship progressed far enough that RedSky recommended Green Compass hire RedSky’s own project manager as a full-time manager. That happened too.
Boss down 3 hits · Green Compass cleared
The outcome
Over 20,000 Green Compass Advocates run on its I.T. platforms today
Since beginning its engagement with RedSky, Green Compass has seen its Advocate network grow by nearly 50% to more than 20,000 independent representatives selling medicinal plant products throughout the United States.
Key to that expansion has been the Advocates’ ability to maximize their sales and promotional efforts through the RedSky-enhanced e-commerce platform.
